Before the pilots had time to give us a quick overview of what exactly was going on, Hugo had practically ripped his harness from his seat and barreled down the walkway towards the warhead launcher. The rest of us followed him down the walkway shortly, each of us going to separate corners of the ship to different turbo lasers.
“Requesting status report of enemy target from starboard laser. Over.” I asked as I strapped myself into my new seat and prepared my weapon for attack.
We’ve received information of confirmed pirate sighting from an unknown source. Radar has picked up incoming vessel which is not responding to any of our requesting calls,” the copilot answered “warning signals are being sent out. Prepare to fire on our command. Over.”
I flipped the view in my helmet to sync with the sight on the laser in order for more accurate shooting. I didn’t usually rely on the site in my helmet for my aiming, however, pirates were unpr
