Natasi stopped walking and looked over her shoulder to see Senya walking towards her, "Ah, Senya...what can I do for you? And I thought I told you to call me Natasi or Tasi."
"My apologies but you are the leader of the Alliance and...." Senya noticed the look that Natasi was giving her and added. "I will be sure to call you by your name when we are alone."
"I would appreciate that," Natasi said as she turns to face the older female. "Now what can I do for you, Senya?"
"My son would like to talk to you, he would have sent a message but we both know you broke your datapad after the last message you had received and hadn't been able to replace it." Senya said.
There were many on the Republic side who are wary of Natasi still, they don't know where she came from and she had shown to be quite knowledgeable with the Unknown Regions.
Most didn't like her quick forgiveness of Arcann too.
"Did he tell you why he wanted to talk to me?"
"A mother does not pry." Senya said with a mysterious smile.
Natasi narrowed her brown eyes in response, she didn't believe that. She had seen the looks that Senya had been giving her and Arcann whenever they have been together and talking but doesn't say anything about the smile instead she asked, "Where is he?"
Senya tells her where he is before she takes her leave, Natasi watches her walk away before she goes to where Arcann is at. The former Emperor was standing near the edge of the cliff looking at the scenery below him.
It was still weird to see him without the mask on but she liked being able to see his face completely, the facial scars didn't bother her at all. Female Faberians found scars to be attractive.
And she slammed a wall over her attraction towards him, he didn't need that and she had a feeling that Senya knew about her true and hidden feelings towards her son.
The looks that the older female had been throwing her way hadn't exactly been subtle and her amusement through the Force whenever Natasi ignored said looks.
"I never thought I would never stand on Odessen as anything but a conqueror. So much has changed."
Natasi came to stand next to him, looking up at him and said, "Your mother said you wanted to talk. Sorry about not getting a replacement datapad but I figured that Lana and Theron would enjoy playing messengers."
Arcann turned to face her as he said, "Lana seemed to be starting to get annoyed with it while Theron seemed to be enjoying telling most of the people who called you that you are very busy. Anyways, I have something for you. A gift. When I was young, the Knights of Zakuul taught me how to forge my own armor." He pulled out a piece of armor, looking down at it. Natasi kept her expression calm and neutral, and she kept a firm control over her emotions. Arcann didn't know that it was considered the start of a marriage courtship to give your future spouse an armor or weapon. And Natasi never really explained about her people's cultural either, not that she was forgetful and lazy but because soon one one will remember the Faberian Empire. "I've worked on this piece since I arrived on Odessen." Then Arcann handed it to her and Natasi took it from him, she glanced at it briefly before her eyes met his once more. "I want you to have it." Natasi looked at it before she looked back up at him. "If I am ever unable to fight by your side, I can still ensure you're protected."
Natasi looked at the piece again, turning it over and taking in the craftsmanship, "I can't believe you made this. It's incredible." She only seen this level of craftsmanship back on Faber.
She had her blasters and lightsaber pike hidden in her quarters.
"It's the least I can do for someone who has give me so much," Arcann said as he looked down, moving with his hands as he talked. Natasi can sense his honesty but she could sense the shame and self-hatred coming from him. "There's...something else I need to say. Until now, I only felt hatred for others--especially for you. But you showed compassion I didn't deserve, and eliminated the darkness threatening to consume me. Everything I am is because of you. And I'll spend a lifetime thanking you for it."
Natasi smiled fondly at him, she lowered her wall and finally allowed him to sense her feelings of devotion and affection for him, "Seeing you happy is enough for me. I care about you, Arcann."
She could sense his surprise when he had sensed the truth behind her words, sensed her true emotions.
"Is that...really how you feel? After everything we've gone through?" He asked before he turned around and walked away from her, Natasi turned to face his back. She understood the worry, he had tried to kill her many times and had kept her in carbonite for five years too. But Natasi had forgive him, she could sense that her mother, cousin and aunt were still alive. Older now but still alive. "In the time we've spent together, I've come to admire you. Your strength, your wisdom, your courage. I never thought you would see me as anything but a former enemy."
"Arcann...." Natasi said as she walked towards him, he turned to face her.
Natasi never thought herself as wise, strong and courageous yes but not wise. Yet so many people are following her, listening to her as if she was wise.
Was this what it mean to lead? Did her mother ever feel this way.
"But what you've said gives me hope," Arcann said. "When I see you, I feel something I never knew possible. I want to stay by your side through whatever comes. I've done terrible things, Commander. But if you can accept me, I want to become someone you deserve."
"Two things, Arcann, thing one: it's Natasi or Tasi when we are alone." Natasi said as she held up two fingers and ticked them off. "Second thing, I accept every part of you--the good and the bad."
Arcann smiled and said, "I hoped I would hear those words from you."
The two stepped closer to each other, staring at each other but unsure about what to do next.
"This is...unfamiliar territory for me. I'm not sure how to proceed."
Natasi gave a small chuckle and said, "Kissing me would be a good start."
"That I can do." Arcann said before he shot forward and wrapped his flesh arm around Natasi's waist before he pulled her towards him, his lips pressing against hers.
Natasi respond back with the same amount of passion, letting her emotions flow through the forming bond.
The kiss ended as quickly as it started and the two pulled away, looking at each other and smiling.
"I can't say what the future will bring. But whatever challenge comes, we'll face it together." Arcann said as he takes her hands in his, she felt both flesh and metal against her own flesh.
"I hope you're ready for a whole lot of challenges." Natasi said with a smile.
Arcann chuckled and said, "I am and I know that you are." He releases her hands and turns to face the scenery before them.
Natasi smirked and said, as she crossed her arms over her armored chest and cocked her hip to the side before she too turned to face the same way, she turned her head towards him, "Hey, a challenge every now and again makes life fun. Granted most of the Jedi don't like some of my more...aggressive actions." They hadn't like it when she had killed Sareesh but Faberians didn't take betrayal very well.
Not that everyone seemed to realize what she was, Faberians can easily blend in with normal humans and her mother had issued an exodus of all Faberian forces from the Known Regions.
It's time for the Faberian Empire to no longer be a Republic ally, there'll be a joint mindwipe to clean everyone's memories of them. They didn't have to worry about any records about them, the Sacking of Coruscant had seen to that.
Natasi knew that she would have to tell Arcann and his mother especially when she returns to her home system, it'll soon be time for her to take the throne.
She was hesitant to ask Arcann to come with her, he had just returned to his mother and had just started to repair their relationship. He had saved his mother's life and she had saved his.
Natasi didn't want to tear them apart.
"What's wrong, Natasi?"
Natasi blinked in surprise and she pulls away from her thoughts, "Just thinking about what had happened during my time here...pretty exciting and I thought finding Revan and freeing him would be the most exciting thing in my life...of course, then he went crazy on everyone and tried to kill us all." She frowned. "So many exciting things happened to me but I have to say that our little war had been the most exciting."
"Despite what I have done to you?"
"You honestly think that you're the first one to try to kill me? That many times? Love, I hate to tell you this but you're not the first or last." Natasi said with a smile, her tone and emotions light and teasing. "Though you were the first to put me in carbonite for five years so that's special...didn't like the carbonite poisoning though, I could have done without that."
"I can see why most of your people find you weird." Arcann said, fondly.
"That's one way to put it." Natasi said with a laugh. "I take after my mother in personality, but I also have some of my father's personality."
"You never speak of your parents, what are they like?"
"My mother is wise beyond her years and quite cunning," Natasi said. "As for my father, he had died a month before I was born so I never knew him but my mother told me that I have some of his personality in me."
"I am sorry about your father."
Natasi shrugged her shoulders and said, her Force signature sad yet at peace, "It's hard to miss someone that you never knew but my mother always made sure that I never doubted that I was loved and she has told me about him too."
Arcann took her hands into his flesh one, giving it a squeeze causing Natasi to look at him as he said, "Your father would be proud of you."
"Thank you, I like to think that too." Natasi said as she rested her head against his bicep, radiating devotion and love in the Force.
She felt him wrap his arm around her waist, he was also radiating devotion and love in the Force as well.
