I’m not sure what’s going on in the background. I just needed something to offset the reds/browns/yellows, so I decided there needed to be a splash of green there.
I wanted to draw something that took the lessons from the composition course I was taking, and this is really the first thing I churned out. It’s a lot harder than I expected to come up with a good composition. It used to be that I would spend the majority of my time colouring, but it took me 2 weeks to outline this, and 2 days to colour, so… Well, anyway, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

I think I kinda failed at the clarity part, but oh well. Lol. My take on Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows. He looks much younger than I intended him to be here, but I remembered, the kid is seventeen. He’s okay.
Also, I'm aware of the weird artifacting on his waistcoat. I keep forgetting to set Krita's default setting to 16bits, which it used to be, but somehow got switched to 8.

Schoolism, Pictorial Composition, Assignment 2 (Unity with variety) Comp 3
Not too happy with this one, and I really struggled with it. I like the idea though and I might try it again in later assignments. Another scene from my story (well, a backstory, more like).
