Playing around with the new dIFS formulas.
Never thought dIFS would be this useful.
Great work, as always, Jesse and Luca! Admirable!
(Excited to see if Luca, or someone else can guess the formulas used)
Mandelbulb 3D, DOF effects done in Photoshop.

Wonderful!
This is a AmazingIFS, Helix, Sphere hybrid, just go ahead and try them out and tell me if you find anything!

I'm primarily Apo-based, I only use MB3D when I can make something simple
I'll try though
I use Mandelbulb 3D, free program by Jesse, and many of the formulas made available by Luca.
If you are interested in the tool, check out fractalforums.com otherwise, just enjoy the images!
My guess is you are using helixIFS and sphereIFS and transformIFS,
Guessing at the rest:
a positional light with vis on 2 or 3 for the sun reflectivity at like .08 and 2 and the colormap that is all horizontal lines with grey (map 2 from standard install).
In any case its freakin amazing.
Right about the sunm, reflect I think was between 0.5 and 0.8...
I THINK I used my own color map, not sure, I will check, I use the standard map 1 a lot...
I'm fooling with the dIFS's too and haven't yet seen anything like this!
The dIFS are more interessting than I thought, going back to the old hybrids for a while now.
