I rarely do two versions of the same image, but now I was asked to beta test some of the upcoming features in Mandelbulb 3D and I could not resist to show what's possible to do with the new iteration count based dynamic fog…
Pretty hard to master but I got it after a few tries…

(I think this will be very nice in animations, to get a northern light effect…)

It is not volumetric... don't know if it is possible... mandelbulber has got that now I think... (?)
