Was going to try the new soft combinate and found this in a very basic DE combinate of a Mandelbulb and a Menger sponge, I enjoyed the strong feeling of being trapped so much I had to share it.
It is also two years since the Mandelbulb was discovered at fractalforums.com [link] I will probably do a classic mandelbulb image to celebrate this...

Can I ask, what would you recommend for a beginners fractal software package? That is, if it is a software package. I've no idea how to start making fractals of my own. Thanks for any help.
