I posted a video on Youtube showing how I made a dragon eye tile. Here is a link youtu.be/wVIDAkL3tOI Once the video was finished, I set the tile aside, not sure what I was going to do with it. Well, my work table was a little (ahem) crowded so I laid it on top of a ceramic pot that I had on the table. I paused and did a double take. Hmmm, it looks pretty cool on top of that pot I thought to myself.

I wasn't sure how I would go about turning it into a top for the container though. I needed a way to secure it so that it wouldn't just slide off the pot if moved or bumped. The underside was ugly and needed to be covered too. (it was a clear glass tile). I new I couldn't cover it in polymer clay because it was painted with acrylics and there was a layer of UV resin covering the watch/eye (see the video as to why that came to be) so I would not be able to put it back into the oven. Then, I considered attaching black velvet to the underside of the tile but that wouldn't solve the need to keep it securely held on top of the pot.

I had been watching videos on yt about Apoxie Sculpt and thought I'd give that a try. So far so good! Once the Apoxie Sculpt is completely cured, I'll paint it will black acrylic.

I see lots of possibilities for the Apoxie Sculpt! Have you used it? How do you like it? Send me links to your creations, I'd love to see how you use it. :)
