I am back at it with my alcohol ink and painting more ACEOs. ACEO stands for Artist Cards Editions and Originals. ACEO can be made of any medium but must measure 3.5" x 2.5". (the size of a playing card). Does anyone play cards anymore? I was thinking it would be fun to have these printed on playing cards (since they are already the correct size and all) but I don't know if that would ever be a thing and, if so, where I could have them made. For now, they are all in my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/MandarinMoon or, for a limited time, up for auction on ebay www.ebay.com/usr/mandarinmoons…

I have a Youtube video where I show how to paint with alcohol ink. You can find it here youtu.be/eP6AgnDHH8U . Try it out, working with alcohol ink is so interesting!

These are really beautiful. They would look stunning on the back of playing cards, however you could only use one design per pack otherwise everyone would know what cards you have! Unless you made a deck of cards with all of the backs the same design and then four of each card in a deck with another of your designs and then people could play Snap! by matching cards with the same design. :D

Also I think these designs would be great for quilting patterns but I think they would need to be square rather than rectangular for that. It something you might like to look into at some stage.

We still play cards here with the family maybe once a month. It makes a nice change to switch off the TV and the tech and play a sociable game.

Thanks! I thought the same thing regarding the playing cards. I thought "oh, someone would memorize which is what real quick!" I also liked your idea for the quilting pattern. Someone I work with mentioned that as well. I started creating some that are 6" square. I've also figured out how to creating a repeating pattern by hand. Thank you very much for your great ideas and feedback!

Oh cool! You could print actual wall tiles that size too. They might be a bit too much over a full wall, but as a decorative border they'd be beautiful.

I've created seamless patterns digitally before but never by hand. That's a much trickier process so well done!
