1. Sailor Orientale is 'like fire.' What makes Orientale too hot to handle?
Orientale is not completely too hot to handle. She has friend she loves dearly and who she opens up to. But when there are people she doesn't know for example she is very careful and distanced. It can change when she knows them better.
When she dislikes a person she can be really rude. Orientale had been chased by her fathers' murderers for several years and she never trusts unknown persons easily. Then there is her behaviour as a senshi. She is one of those Fire-Senshi who uses the hot element as their barrier. To protect her from enemies Orientale changed herself after her fathers' death. In former times she was a careless, open-minded and loyal girl. Now she is still loyal, to the people she loves, but she is very careful and easy to irritate. When you are her enemy, don't mess up with Orientale or she will burn you down with one of her attacks.
2. Sailor Orientale is so beautiful! What inspired her overall look and design?
For her look I was inspired by Indian belly dancers. I tried to make her look unique and added those little gems in her face. I checked a few photographs of belly dancers and decided to let her occupation be one too. And when I was sure about the City cocept for the city Orientale I thought that in a hot climate she should be anle to wear short clothes and that she would like wearing them.
3. Sailor Orientale has a lover... or so we hear. How did that come about, and how does she manage being a senshi and in a relationship?
How did that come about? That's a really good. Question. I only can remember that SolarMiko asked me what about them being friends and a bit later, agter talking about our characters we decided that they should be lovers.
It was friendship first and love came quickly. Frigoris, Orientales lover, is a Senshi too. For their relationship this is a good thing because both girls accept each other duties and understand when their alone-time is rare. The bigger problem is Orientales civilian job, which makes Frigoris jealous.
