What do you dislike on dA?
Lots of us as artists dislike things on deviantART. From different fandoms to styles of art to certain art mediums to a comment made on your art, you will find something you dislike. How do you respond to your own dislike or the dislike of another person? It can be hard to be respectful or to just not say anything, but in the interest of your own happiness, you should try...
Disliking stuff isn't bad. It is how you act that is good or bad. You can take a rude comment with respect. You can leave a negative opinion with respect.

The Receiving End: Comments and Critiques
It is no secret that some people leave nasty comments and critiques for attention. Just ignore those. Actually, try to ignore all the negativity. You cannot please everyone all the time. Someone will hate how you dressed your character, the way you painted your background, how you sculpted that one ear a little lower than the other... Whatever. Hate happens - not everyone can keep it to themselves.
But you have the power on your page and on your art to stop that hate. You can start by not responding to it. If you MUST respond to it, link them to the deviations below. The best option is to block them and hide their rude and unnecessary comment/critique. Don't call names, don't make excuses, and most certainly don't try to change their mind. Just ignore it - it's the best option to dArama all over your beautiful artwork... (and possibly being screen-capped and made fun of later for not taking a critique well).
The Receiving End: Style of Art
What about your style of art... how can you possibly help that someone doesn't like paintings, digital art, anime, a certain fandom (like Pokemon), etc? You can't. If someone is going to come to your page or work to torment you about something you love, block them. Hide their comments. They don't deserve your attention. And disengaging from the hate is not disrespectful - it is far more respectful than responding to hate with hate.
When YOU dish out disrespect...
What is the point in going to someone and blasting their hard work with unhelpful negative comments? Whether it is an attempt to 'critique' a work, comment on a work, note their fandom, style, medium, etc, it isn't okay to be destructive or hateful. Lace your comments to people in RESPECT. It isn't that hard. Your opinions (and that is all they are - OPINIONS) will be taken much more seriously. You will not damage your reputation. And you will get actual results and maybe even a new friend too.
