The fantastic news is this: Dezi's care is set to move forward with a new scan on Thursday and meeting with her specialist on Friday. See her journal entry here!

UPDATE: Scans and visit with specialist planned!So today, after three days of screwing around with us, our insurance company finally arranged my initial scans that i have to have before i visit my specialist. I have to have a CT scan and a bone scan-- that's where they inject me with a radioactive material (or was it nuclear? I can't remember, is it the same thing?) and they wait for it to seep into the cancers and then scan my whole body, to make sure it hasn't spread any further than it has. I suspect i might have another tumor in my lower arm, but they said they didn't see anything, so, we'll have to see. I have good hopes! My specialist is a pretty rad guy too; you can research him ...
