About Me

♥ I am a mother and a hobbyist artist. I do photography, digital art and traditional art.

♥ I am a disabled Air Force veteran, a reverend, and I am college educated (highest degree is a BS in Math). The light of my life is my beautiful daughter!

♥ Outside of dA, I participate in several charities such as volunteering with the Blood Mobile and Relay for Life, rescue stray animals, and participate with my local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa as much as possible. I may have downsized what I do on deviantART, but my love for those I have met here only grows!

♥ On deviantART, I participate in several groups - most of them are about Closed Species / Sailor Moon, respect or positivity (or a combination of the three). Much of my online activity has moved to Facebook, Discord and Artists Aware despite my continued activity in a few groups on deviantART.

A FAQ

So here follows the most common questions and comments I get along with the briefest possible answer I have to give. If you have other questions or comments that you think should be here, don't hesitate to let me know.

How did you come up with your username?

As a teenager, I watched a lot of Magic Knight Rayearth. When Magic Knight Rayearth 2 came out, I became obsessed with one of Hikaru's love interests, Lantis. I wanted to differentiate between male and female, so I decided to use Lantiis with two I's. When I came to deviantART to make my account, the username Lantiis was already taken, but since I had been going by Lantiis for many years when I got to dA in 2009, I decided to make my username "The-Lantiis" to differentiate between me and the original account that was made with my name.

EDIT: I have since changed my username from The-Lantiis to iLantiis to better reflect what I do on deviantART. The i is symbolic as the i in iPhone meaning "individual," "instruct," "inform," and "inspire."

EDIT: I have since changed my username from iLantiis to MamaLantiis. I did this after becoming a mother to reflect that new chapter in my life. You can read more on the process behind changing my name in 2020 here.

What tools do you use? 

For traditional art, I use a 0.5HB lead in a mechanical pencil and notecards / sketchpad for drawing plus whatever colored pencil and white gel pen I can afford that month. For digital art, I use a XP-Pen tablet, Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop.

Can I have points / art / money? Are you giving away points / art / money?

Will you add me to your personal Facebook?

No. Never. Not until our souls have melded together.

Are your commissions open? Will you draw ... ?

Yes. Note that I do not work for free - payment is always up front and in full. Read my Commissions TOS to learn more about commissioning me.

Why do you only draw senshi? Who are your OCs? I don't draw only senshi. But I do draw a lot of senshi - I am a fanartist and my favorite fandom is Sailor Moon after all. If you want to meet my OCs, please visit my Toyhouse.

How do you become a Senior / get the Deviousness Award?

Are you really a veteran? 

Yes. I am a service connected veteran from the Air Force. I have a disability from an injury I received in the military.

Are you really a reverend? 

Yes. I was ordained in 2006.

Can you tell me stories from when you were in the military? 

No, I don't want to.

How were you injured in the military? 

I fell during basic training. I tore my knee up really bad - required physical therapy to be able to walk properly again... still can't walk properly and now my foot is messed up too...

You have an ED page. Your groups have ED pages. 

I know. You aren't telling me anything new. [note that EncyclopediaDramatica has rebranded or change their url or whatever.] The hilarious truth behind my ED page is the people who created it did so AFTER I took legal action against them for defaming and slandering me on deviantART via their group for being a disabled veteran. After my lawyers got in touch with deviantART, dA deleted the whole group and some of the members and almost all off the admins of that group were permabanned from deviantART. My ED page was a butthurt reaction to being banned from dA lol
