I see how some people's eyes will roll.
I see noses, lips, eyes, ears, and chins.
I see every damn thing.

I see the strife in the workplace.
I see the tears on your face.
I see the fear in your eyes
as your family is ripped apart every time.
I see color.
I see the tension that brews below.
I see the hatred that people hold.
I see your history buried
when it doesn't fit the color of fury.
I see color.
And I see their stance
as they make their racist chant;
I hear their words ringing loud and proud!
As though the option to close our eyes
is a new ability we should all get down.
If you don't see color,
you don't see them.
If you don't see them,
count yourself among the racist men and women.
I see color.
