About Sierra

Sierra is untrusting of government and authorities. When she was 11 and in 5th grade, her parents were in a terrible car crash while her and her then 8 year old brother, Jordan, were at a pool party at a family friends house. Since they had no living relatives, they were quickly put in foster care. Sierra wanted the family's friends to adopt them, so both of them ran away from the foster care home they were put in, but they were found after a few months of living on the streets trying to find their friend's house. The next time they were placed with families, they were split up. Her brother gave Sierra his teddy bear with his lucky pin to remember him by, and Sierra vowed to not stop until she found Jordan again, and they were safe with people they knew and loved.

Escaping and running away from foster families became a regular job for Sierra in her quest to find her family's friends houses. And she looked high and low every time she escaped from a foster family for her brother but never had any luck finding him. She always carried his teddy bear with her tho, doing her best to take good care of it. Several times she did find the homes of her parent's friends, and they always took her in, fed her, let her bathe, and let her play with their kids. However, it never failed that DCFS would come knocking on the door and take Sierra back to whatever foster family she was with at the time. Sierra always felt deeply betrayed by the actions of the adults, and in time, she decided it would be better to be alone than with traitors. When she was 16, the authorities stopped looking for Sierra after her last escape from her foster family. It was this time that Sierra decided to just be homeless, spending her days dodging the police and other authorities as she was sure some adult out there snitched on her.

And it was when Sierra was 19 that she was sure she saw her brother again tho much older now. But he looked so happy with his new family that she just stood by and watched him until they got in a car and left. Crying, she just hugged her now stained and broken teddy bear and whispered "I love you" before going to her favorite spot to panhandle... She was so ashamed of who she had become that she didn't want his last memory of her being brave for him shattered by how she looked and lived now.

Living on the streets in the desert is hard work. Sierra gets ok money from panhandling, dodging cops whenever necessary. She keeps a razor blade with her and shaves her head. She patches her own clothes to the best of her ability. Without more than a 5th grade education (she did go to school off and on but often used her time at school to run away from foster families), she doesn't read well and has terrible handwriting, but she manages to get her message across on her cardboard signs she sets up when she panhandles. With what little money she gets, she buys food. She knows if she buys a burger at McDonalds that she can get unlimited water for free and sit in the dining area for however long she likes. She also likes to frequent Taco Bell as one of the workers there takes pity on her and gives her a free small soda. She steals most anything else she needs. When she gets completely disgustingly dirty, she sneaks into a local truck station and uses the trucker's showers to wash herself and her clothes, leaving a dripping mess afterwards. She has a shopping cart full of her belongings and a pair of shoes for when she needs to enter a store or dining establishment. As a rule, she doesn't wear shoes unless it is necessary to lengthen their use for her.

Sierra, despite her best efforts, is a very jealous person. She is mostly jealous of all the people that get to go home to their families every day. Family, to Sierra, is the greatest gift in the world. She thinks of her brother all the time and prays that he has a good life.

About Sailor Fire Opal Scorpion

"Digging through the rocks and sands, I am Sailor Fire Opal Scorpion!"

Fire Opal Scorpion has a stark determination that often overshadows her cautious side. If she thinks something can be done, she will endeavor to do it. Like living on the street though, she has trouble trusting others and likes to rely solely on herself. In battle, this can get her into trouble if she bites off more than she can chew.

Fire Opal Scorpion doesn't take direction well, especially from authority figures. She also thinks that most kind acts are actually passive aggressive attacks or outright plots against her. Like her sphere of influence (Rocks/Sand), she is rough around the edges and hard to get close to. She can also flip on a dime if she thinks someone is being disingenuous. Even an ally is on thin ice with her as she is very touchy.

Transforming into Sailor Fire Opal Scorpion
"Pulled from the Earth Below, Make-Up!"
Sierra is surrounded immediately by rocks and sand as a vortex forms around her, the pin from her brother's teddy bear floating out in front. As the vortex gets shorter and shorter, you start to see her hair grow, first as a red light and then turning blond with two shocks of fire opal locks that tie back in a ponytail. As the vortex gets lower yet, her eyes shine from blue to red and finally shimmer as fire opals themselves. Lowering further, the pin from her brother's bear affixes itself to her bosom and her bow and collar erupt from the brooch. Several ribbons push the vortex lower as one settles around her neck and another as the rolls around her chest. As more ribbons fly out, her arms raise up and her gloves form. Then two ribbons form her hip roll and another smaller brooch is formed. Then her skirt shoots out in all directions with her back bow forming quickly after. As the vortex meets her feet, it coalesces around them and hardens into her boots. She takes her final pose as Sailor Fire Opal Scorpion.

Main Power: "Sand Stinger!"
Fire Opal Scorpion calls out her attack and the ground moves beneath the feet of her enemy. A giant burst of sand erupts from below them and forms into a scorpion's tail with a jagged rock at the tip serving as the stinger. The tail juts forward, striking any opponent in its path before exploding in a wave of sand. This attack is offensive and typically only a single target attack. However, the sand explosion, while not painful nor dangerous, can make other enemies nearby lose footing and possibly falter.

• Magic Type: Earth (Sand and Rock)

• Attack Type: Offensive

• Single target - Appears adjacent to her intended target

• High Powered Uses: Can attack up to 3 times.

• Low Powered Uses: Stinger does not form and only explodes as a wave of sand tripping up nearby enemies. Can be used as often as needed.

• Can summon this attack in line of sight up to 20 feet away from her. The burst of sand at the end spreads about a distance of 3-5 feet in all directions.

Secondary Power: "Venom's Kiss!"
Fire Opal Scorpion puts two fingers to her lips and kisses them after shouting her attack. Grasping a red thread from between her lips, she pulls out a lasso with a scorpions stinger at the end that she whips at her target. This is an offensive attack and only single target. However, it requires extreme concentration to pull off. If Fire Opal Scorpion can land a hit with her magic lasso, the dose of venom it injects makes her opponent immediately weak and nauseous for hours.

• Attack Type: Offensive (but has Defensive capabilities)

• Single Target: her lasso can hit multiple targets but the stinger that deals the venom can only hit one target. The lasso does nothing to other opponents.

• Uses: Once per transformation. If she can land a hit, her opponent is immediately disabled, however it requires a great deal of concentration to hit with.

• The lasso can travel up to 5 feet away from Fire Opal Scorpion. If her target is not within 5 feet of her, the attack will miss.
