Lyra has always wanted to be a mother ,Her marefriend Bon bon 
had told her it would be very difficult for them being mare. You need a stallion to have a foal for that...
They have talked about artificially inseminate but it was really uncomfortable for Bon.
The next option was adoption they both loved the idea, However the two did not realize how much work there was you had to do not to mention how much it would cost and that's not including raising the foal...
When they went to the orphanage they fell in love with two foals a young girl named BubbleGum and a baby boy named Orange Sherbet. The two weren't related but Bon Bon could tell they had a close bond. After see them the girls be everything they could do
to take the foals home <3
