To go with the panda and leopard watercolour pictures, more endangered animals!

Yes I know you can't get salmons in the Arctic. And that his fishing cane is really wonky and has a distorted perspective xD It was really fun to draw nevertheless.

Windsor & Newton sepia ink, black ink and watercolours. Photoshop colour adjustment.

Love the seals in this! The landscape texture you've got with the colouring is great. Reminds me of some of the snowscapes in Calvin and Hobbes. Love that whimsical style - hits that nostalgic sense of childhood wonderment for me.

(Out of curiosity, is the title derived from Salmon Fishing in the Yemen? xD )

Thank you :D There's not much texturing I think, I guess watercolours and inks do the texturing all by themselves. Really enjoying drawing in this style, might have to do some more ^^

Yes, the title is derived from that! Kept seeing film posters of that so it was in my mind when I drew it.

Yeah, you're probably right about the watercolours - I've never tried them enough to be REMOTELY competent with them. I love the look they give though! Don't know why this one reminded me quite so much of Calvin and Hobbes... But yes! More in this style sounds like a good thing indeed!

Thank you ^^ I'm really flattered by that seeing as I have the most UNsteady hand when I ink. I use a quill nib rather than a pen (so I can mix the colour and water/ink ratio how I like it) and it catches on the paper all the time.. I also smudged the ink twice but managed to hide it 8D The way I draw with pencil does not translate well to inking because I don't do one smooth stroke, instead lots of little ones.
That iceberg is wobbly as hell D:
