Looking for her Thief

Clockwork!Sexy using the Chameleon Arch to find her Thief. Using her timey-wimey skills and everything!

I had been working on a re-make of my Idris/Sexy cosplay for Fanime. I managed to sew pretty much everything in one weekend with exception of the corset I had planned. My body type works best with an underbust corset so I decided to change her outfit slightly to fit that style. After a severly failed attempt I had the idea to 'change the desktop' and give her a more Steampunk look in honor of Fanime's Clockwork Alchemy and this Clockwork!Sexy was born!

My first idea was to design a small top hat to attach into her hair but I couldn't quite figure out how to get it to work right so settled on the goggles which I found at Fanime the day before. There was a guy working on them when I came up to his table, completely unpainted or finished. I asked him to keep them like that, just give it the brown stain, ect. I then took the goggles and crafted wire loops I could use to pin in my hair. The ends of the wire loops were turned into swirls to mimic her 'essence' when she comes out of Idris' body to fight House.

The pocket watch I happened to have already (It's the Chameleon Arch from 'Family of Blood' that the BBC sold.) I painted it gold to match the rest of the colours and pinned it to my corset. The earrings are made from scarab beetle wings which I thought was appropriate for both the colour as well as the Egyption mythos surrounding the scarab beetle.

All in all, for a planned-turned-last minute cosplay, I'm pretty excited with how well everything turned out!
