The Breaking Point: End-stopping and Enjambment
Introduction The most noticeable difference between poetry and prose is often the use of line breaks in poetry. When the line break comes at the end of a phrase, sentence, or clause, the line is end-stopped. End-stopped lines often end with punctuation like periods/full stops, commas, semi-colons, and colons. When the line break disrupts the phrase, sentence, or clause, the line is enjambed. The French word enjambement, from which 'enjambment' is derived, means 'straddling,' and appropriately, the phrases straddle two or more lines. So, I was bored and looked up my birthday (Nov. 12, for those of you who don't know). Found out that Anne Hathaway was born on Nov. 12, as well as actress-turned-Princess (talk about life goals!) Grace Kelly! Super psyched!

On the downside, I also found out that mass murderer and cult leader, Charles Manson, was also born on Nov. 12. Not, uh... not sure how to feel about that. I mean, I know that doesn't mean anything, but... still, you know? Weird.

I mean, how would you feel if, I dunno, you shared a birthday or had something in common with Jeffrey Dahmer, or Ed Gein, or Ted Bundy? Shocked, I think, is what I'm feeling. It'll probably fade soon, but lemme know how you think you'd feel if you found out something like this? And yes, I know I'm being a little silly, so no need to lemme know that.

Turns out I share my birthday with battle events that happened in World War I and World War II. That's quite disturbing for me.

I... am not sure how to respond to that, to be honest with you.

Me neither. It's just disturbing, let's put it at that.

-When you don't know any of the names listed because the only history you pay attention to is really old and mainly Myths and Egyptian-

I share a birthday with Japanese actor Toshiki Seto. Bonus: He's playing a character in a show I watch. Another Bonus: He's also the character I quote the most) So, there is nothing I cannot cut.

I'd probably sit there wondering why the internet hasn't decided to make "Who you share your birthday with says this about you" a thing yet, because they did it with handwriting, moles, and basically everything else.

My older brother shares his birthday with David Fielding (one of the voices of Zordon) and Saito Syusuke, another Japanese actor, from a show we're familiar with but haven't watched. And my younger brother shares his birthday with Sasaki Seiji, a (you guessed it) Japanese (wait it's different!) voice actor who voiced the villain in a seriously underrated show. I think he shared his bday with another Japanese actor, but I don't remember exactly.
Oh he also shareshis birthday with one of my friends here.

Bit off topic but, before I read this, I was thinking about how quickly I decided to do something for my birthday this year, I usually decide to do osomething like....the day before

Wow. :XD: well, Anne Hathaway was the actress in the Princess Diaries, and she was also Catwoman in one of the batman films. Grace Kelly was a star in the... 20's? 30's? Somewhere around then, then she married the Prince of Morocco. She's said to have been one of the most beautiful women ever. Then there's Charles Manson who murdered a pregnant actress and a bunch of her friends with members of his cult in the 70s. He's still in jail because California doesn't have the death penalty. I'm not sure if you saw my featured comment on also sharing a birthdate with Karl Marx, the father of communism.

My birthday is shared with the date Martin Luther King Jr was murdered. So you know, just dropping that in,

Wow. Yikes. Not good. I mean, not bad, you know, cause that sort of thing doesn't define you, but... not good.

Found out mine (Aug 9th) is shared with Anna Kendrick and Whitney Houston. However, in the year I was actually born, (1995) it coincided with the death of Jerry Garcia. :(

The comedian? Wish I knew some of his schtick. Then I'd be sadder.

No, the musician. A guitarist/vocalist for Grateful Dead. Mom and Dad really liked Grateful Dead, too.

Princess Elisabeth? Where's Brabant? American schools taught me almost nothing. Learned most of my vast storage of knowledge from TV and the Internet. But that Picasso thing is awesome!

Same for the knowledge thing, she's the Princess of Belgium and is 15, just a year younger than me.
