Spider-Wolf X Bat-Wolf {Game Pitch}

OH MY GOD IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!😱🤩 You guys! Batman has returned to the world of gaming in a brand new LEGO game with elements from the Arkham games “LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark-Knight” is coming next year.😁 From what I’ve seen, I really can’t wait until it finally releases as I do recall playing and beating the mainline Arkham games plus the LEGO Batman games back in the day.

Don’t get me wrong, Spider-Man is still my all time favourite Super-Hero, while Batman is around 2nd favourite, what can I say, Batman is one of DC’s greatest icons while Spider-Man is the face of Marvel himself.😁

But this got me thinking, “What if a pitch a new game idea theme around the 2 Heroes?🤔”-(But with a twist😉) And that’s what I’m here to do today.🙂‍↕️ Sit back and relax as I share my ideas for a Spider-Man x Batman game.😁

The Concept/Visuals/Artstyle

This game idea is set in my “What if Mike got bitten by the Spider” series, with it taking place between Season-1: {Ep.13 & 14} of the Spider-Wolf series, the game itself would also act as an origin story for Bat-Wolf-(Aka Nado) on how he becomes the Dark-Knight himself.🙂‍↕️ (NOTE: If I was using the proper Batman & Spider-Man, it would be a Multiverse-Theme action game, but it’s my pitch, my rules, can you feel free to share your own Batman x Spider-Man game idea in the comments below)

In terms of art-style, to stay faithful to both Marvel & DC, the artstyle would be the same style as both the Spider-Man & Batman comics (With both “The Spectacular Spider-Man” & “Batman: The Animated Series” being the best examples).

As for the visuals and graphics, both Insomniac’s Spider-Man series plus Batman Return to Arkham games-(With hints from Arkham-Knight), with next gen hardware-(PS5, Xbox Series X&S, Nintendo-Switch 2 and PC) it would 10 times more visual.😁👍🏻

The Gameplay

This game would feature 2 gameplay styles, “The Batman” & “Spider-Man” styles of gameplay.😉 Normally I would cover the controls for the game, but to keep things simple, the controls would work like how they did in both Batman Arkham-Knight and Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2, both Spidey-(With the Web-Wings in his suit) and Batman-(With his Glide-able Cape) would be able to glide in this game. But both would have their own other methods of transportation, for Spidey, it’s through web-swinging, and Batman is through his Bat-Cycle-(A nice little shake up as we already had the Batmobile in Arkham-Knight, so let’s switch it to the Bat-Cycle/Bike this time).

Now here’s an element/gimmick from Sonic Unleashed I want to incorporate, the day and night gimmick, while in the day, Spider-Wolf/Man will come out as you play as him during that time, but when the night comes, the Batman/Wolf comes out and you then play as him. That’s how I would work the switching between characters gimmick, by utilising what Sonic did previously and run with that, but there are some missions-(In the Main-Campaign) that’ll require both heroes to work together at some point.🙂‍↕️

Like in the Insomniac Spider-Man games, you can answer to any crime alerts or take on any available side-missions either through the “Friendly-Neighbourhood App” or “GCPD’s Most-Wanted Board” anytime during the main-campaign.

The 2 would also have many suits of their own either made just for this game, or calls back from many Batman and Spider-Man comics, films, shows and/or games.🙂‍↕️ It would act as a love letter for both franchises as a whole.😉👍🏻

The Combat

For the Combat side of the gameplay, it would bring back the free-flowing combat from the Batman Arkham games with Insomniac’s Spider-Man games’ combat with some team-up mechanics whenever they team up in either some battles against enemies or bosses.😎

Speaking of which, for the bosses, it would consist of a rogues-gallery of both Batman’s & Spider-Man’s iconic villains, such as The Vulture, Bane, Electro, Scarecrow, Doc-Oak, Two-Face, Green-Goblin and The Joker. While most bosses involves the combat and puzzle-solving during fights, there are however some bosses might require you to be more STEALTHY.😉

The Stealth

Shadows are Batman’s greatest ally, while Spider-Man’s side of the gameplay is more focus on combat and web-swing, Batman on the other hand would focus on stealth and puzzle-solving.🙂‍↕️

The stealth and puzzle-solving/detective side of the gameplay would work like Batman Arkham-Knight+Origins will including the satisfaction of solving puzzles seen in past Zelda games but include some variety to keep you thinking while avoiding it from making it too obvious.😉

The Plot

As I said, this game would act as Nado’s origin-story on how he becomes The Batman-(EEP, I mean The BatWolf) in his own universe while featuring multiverse traveling between the BatWolf & Spider-Wolf universes-(Similar to Spiderverse and No Way Home) while giving Spider-Wolf/Mike some much needed closure and character-arc following after the events of Ep.13 of the Spider-Wolf series.

Anyways, the 2 heroes would team up to stop Mysterio and Ra’s al Ghul from colliding the 2 worlds and potentially destroying both realities.

On that note, Mike’s friends/allies-(Alonso/THOR, Lilly/Owl-Girl, Whisper/Black-Sniper, MayDay/Iron-Wolf and Kong/The-Hulk) as well as Batman’s allies would appear and would be playable in future updates and DLC stories of their own.

Conclusion
