Description
This is a bit of an old piece I drew and wrote some time ago. I figured it was time to have it out here since it's been a while.
I did hope this would get some viewers lured in to my Patreon. Sadly, that didn't seem like the case here. Still it was a nice way to get a weight off my shoulders, to have a buffer ready to use.
By now, the patreon website has 3 of the requested pics up which will be uploaded in other places eventually.

On a small note. I do miss having a premium membership. Doing this posts would've been so easy if i could use the 'schedule' function.

Ever heard the tale of Geraldine Orr? Probably not, it is a rather new one after all. She used to be a hedge knight that lived around the town of Lunt. Bumbling around in odd jobs in a place that had now room for him… And then, the resurgence of magic happened. When the magic touched the knight, he was reborn as a griffin lassie. Now, he is the protection we need against anything the crazy world can throw at us.”
That was the often famous story that all the innkeepers and bartenders seemed to enjoy telling the travelers.
In the end, Gerald was never able to get the invading warlocks to undo the spell put on her, as a matter of fact, they did try to turn him into a chicken, but as luck would have it, Gerald was meant to be a griffin once he got in contact with magic as it’d happened to other people with other races.
The men were thrown into a makeshift prison and handed over to the patrolling knights when they showed up, three days later. Gerald fell into a quick depression after the news that this was perhaps his new normal… However, three days without knights and without a door were three days with the town exposed to dangers. So the mayor, still a toad -at least until the warlock agreed to undo the spell- but capable of talking hired Gerald for a hefty sum to be the defender he always wanted.
Gerald learned that her new body was faster and stronger which was little of a consolation for a man who lost his humanity and manhood in one swift blow, but forced himself to remain strong and not let anyone see him overwhelmed by his grief and frustration, much.
Weeks passed as did months and Gerald, now going by the name of Geraldine became more of a local celebrity. Someone that had earned the respect of everyone by being the first to face the unknown and emerge uplifted. She resides in the mountains where upon she has made good use of her wings and the ability to fly. For a while, Geraldine thought of traveling over to the capital, seeking help. It wasn’t before long that she discovered that the king and his men were rather less than tolerant for magic and non human creatures and they would most likely hunt her down if she got near the castle walls. Then she set her sights on other kingdoms, wondering if there was someone who could fix her… but before she could take off, she was stopped by the major and a group of the citizens, all of which wanted her to stay, given of how much help she’d been all this time.
She is always willing to help by using her new body to perform any task that was needed, from flying over the area to spot herds of animals to using her strength to help carry the logs used for construction and building. She flourished as she grew more confident of her skills but also because she had suddenly gained the support of the whole town that once mocked her as the failed knight.
The citizens pooled in some money to make Geraldine, the griffin knight, a new armor, one that would help her fulfill her duty as a protector. It was a chestplate made of light metals and plates, with an open back to keep it from bothering her flight and plates of steel for his right wing, light enough to not bother and sturdy enough to serve as a shield.
Life had suddenly turned sweet for Gerald in this new world.
