- kekkei genkai: 血液凍結 (blood freeze)- members of the Kunieda clan can freeze their blood in dire situations: if someone gets hit with a poisoned weapon all they need to do is freeze the blood that got poisoned and vomit it later on, or if they need to fake death they can simply freeze their heart which can be lethal-because only another clan member can unfreeze it, and if nobody is able to do it in the first hour, the person with the frozen heart can die. This is something only Hanae and Akane dare to do, since they're always together.
The clan members can also use their KKG to freeze their opponents, but that requires large amount of chakra and is not advisable.

Bio:

The Kunieda clan originates from Yukigakure. Hanae's father, Kaito Kunieda, was the second-born child and the only son of the 6th clan leader. He married a member of the clan, Arine Kunieda, and they had twins- Hanae and Toshio. Not too long after Kaito's sister Mizuki got married, the Kunieda clan changed their base to Kirigakure no Sato. They soon became quite respected since they made it possible for the village to get weapons from Yukigakure for a really cheap price. Also, many members of the clan got important positions in the tactition ward as well as the defense ward.

Toshio and Hanae progressed quickly. Toshio still had his Yukigakure spirit, which made it hard for him to adjust to the brutality of the Hidden Mist, but Hanae had no such problems. She realised that the sight of blood excited her, and killing enemy shinoby became more than a job for her. It was a a hobby. She became a tracker nin at the age of 16 and thanks to her medic jutsu skills, she did a great job of keeping secrets of the village safe. Because of that, several years after that, she bacame one of the main medics in Kirigakure by the age of 23.

After the Watanabe family massacre and the murder of the 6th leader's first-born child, their cousins- Akane and Shu joined the clan. Akane was only 6 at the time and Shu was as old as the twins. He got blinded by one of the explosions, which made Hanae quite intrested in him. She started spending a lot of time with Shu, and somethig she would've never expected of herself happened- she fell for the guy. Later on, that would make her angry as hell, since he became a soft spot. Other than Shu, she only cared about her brother and Akane. The young red haired girl looked up to her, even though Toshio did everything to stop that from happening. Akane became one of the most brutal kunoichi in the village, and got the clan even more respect.

Soon enough, Hanae managed to form the LRT and members of Kirigakure's team 5 volunteered to join. Toshio never approved of it as their sensei, but there was nothing he could do. Akane Kunieda, Daichi Mochizuke and Shin Nitobe, together with Hanae's apprentice Oki Ikeda, became a very important unit in the Hidden Mist. They traveled all around, gathering very important specimen from other villages, which gave the Land of Water insight in the secrets and weaknesses of every single nation.
