Soul Eater - ''Original'' Cover

Happy New Year ya'll! 🎉

Starting this year off with my FIRST digital fanart piece (not a doodle and/or with OC inserts)! If it wasn't already clear from my last couple of posts, I'm switching up the content to focus more on fanart. Drawing it seems to be the tried and true method of growth on almost EVERY platform, so that's gonna be the grind for the meantime  

As you can see, I made a Soul Eater piece! I heard about the show LONG ago when I was in elementary, but slowly began dipping my toes in anime MUCH later, so I started watching it probably... between late 2022 to early 2023. GREAT artstyle, BANGER action scenes, CUTE character relationships... but as everyone knows, SHITASS ending

As far as the piece, I'm one of those artists that have a bad habit of drawing people first, then BG later, so I was worried that my piece will feel empty without ANYTHING to fill it with, so I had the idea of creating the piece like the original manga cover art! The cover art for Soul Eater is SUPER simple: title, author, character art, then volume number! However, even after completing this, I didn't feel satisfied as I felt like there still should've been SOMETHING behind them, so... I did the piece AGAIN
