I’ve recently created a fanfic story involving the sisters. And I realize something that in the actual show, there was not once a scene with them together. And that to me was letdown. Monet & Sugar deserve some justice and glad to have created a fanfic involving the two. Cause I like them mostly because of their designs and so forth💚

You're right, now that I think about it... I wonder if that means Monet didn't actually die and we'll come back. If that happened, they would surely have at least a scene together.

I still refuse to believe that she’s dead in Punk Hazard no matter what other people say.

Ah yes.  It took me a while to get why Monet was Elsa, but then it clicked that they both had power over snow and ice.  And Sugar's devil fruit keeps her eternally young, though Oda-sensei has divulged that her real age is 22 when we see her in DressRosa in the present day.  Despite being 18, Anna reminds me of a highly impressionable 9 year old, maybe younger, with how she acts.

And, most importantly, Monet and Sugar are sisters, too.  ^^

Really?  I didn't know that.  I love Monet and don't care for Sugar.  It's different from where I can't stand sharing another spelling of "Ana" with a total ditz of a character, but even still.  I'd like to see Sugar "drop dead" for a change as opposed to feeling entitled to let that insult spew from her lips while she smiles a cherub's grin.

Yes, Oda revealed that in one of the SBS.   ^^
I don't particularly like either as characters, but I like both her designs, visually speaking, and Monet's powers. Sugar's are more frightening, though; I could totally feel Usopp's anguish when he said that he couldn't bear the thought of navigating the ocean without remembering about his captain...  ;__;

Yes.  Visuals aren't everything, but they are a big part of the anime experience.  Forgetting someone ever existed by turning them into a toy… we saw this with Robin, Kyros, and even the fighters for the Coliseum. I think Sugar joined after Cora died because he would never take such a thing lying down.

Didn't both Sugar and Monet joined after Rocinante (supposedly) died?
AnaxErik4ever's avatar
Hmm… that must be it.  I didn't see either of them at the table when Law first encountered the Don Quixote family.  :? Why do you say supposedly died?  Getting shot ten times by your own brother, while sustaining previous blood loss from earlier wounds, is a pretty finite (and brutal) way to go.

Because I'm in denial (and I've theories of my own about his possible survival).  :P

So does that make Law, or Doffy, Hans?
MajorasMasks's avatar
Mhh... Maybe Vergo?   ;)

Pfffft!  That would totally fit considering how he masqueraded as a law-abiding Marine for a while before an epic betrayal.  Hans owes loyalty to no one but himself though, which is where they differ.  As far as I'm concerned though, Vergo abandoned DoFlamingo when he dropped the alias Corazon

Yeah, they are different, but have some similarities as well.  ^^

Of course, food doesn't stick to Hans' face last I remember.  I also like Santino Fontana's voice better.  I think he was underutilized and that having Hans turn out to be a narcissistic prick was just a cop out.  There is no villain in Frozen except human fear and ignorance, and as far as I can tell, Wesselton embodies that better.  Remember, Hans didn't call Elsa MONSTER the first thing her ice powers came on display.

XD

Frozen has lots of problems... Even if there are things of it I enjoyed, I didn't like it much overall, to be honest.   ^^'

I think it's meant to be enjoyed by an audience that can think more critically than the audience it's geared towards, i.e. girls ages 5 to 13.

I just think the screenplay isn't that great.  :P
