Daenerys and her newborn dragons (scene from A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin).

This started off as just a warmup sketch but it quickly took off into a life of its own! This painting was quick and fun - a great way to end my winter break. :)

Created in Photoshop CS4.

Dragons on GoT didn't have 6 limbs, they were designed acording to principal rules of biology.

this is beautiful! i hate how some people will say that nudity in art is disgusting, but it all depends on how you draw it and whats going on in the scene. here, i think you have captured what others aren't understanding. :3 it makes me think that, since there are cracked dragon eggs and very small dragons, it resembles new life. that's what i think anyways. xDD

Amazing. The color contrast is especially impressive, as well as the dragons' pose and placement. I feel I should note, though, that she's not supposed to have hair here, since it burned in the fire.

Absolutely beautiful work, but for accuracy's sake, all of her hair was burned off in the fire.

Awesome! I love the style of the dragons! <3 The lighting on the body is excellent! Did you use reference? I wish her hair was burnt tho...

I had her with burnt hair for a while and it didn't look very good to me. :( I guess I wanted to take artistic liberty and give her purty hair instead of a singed, bald head! :D I didn't use any reference for this one, though I did look at my own hands and feet a lot.

Gorgeous. I love the molten-metallic feel of the lighting, and the great color palette.

Nifty lighting!

Though if baby dragon claws are anything like sharp lil birdy claws, her shoulders would have some light scratches on them. That soft shoulder skin doesn't stand a chance against claws, lol. I speak from experience, tank tops and birds don't mix! XD

Hah, I bet! I debated this very topic back and forth while I was working on it, and I ultimately decided that her "babies" wouldn't hurt her. The logical part of my brain wanted very badly to paint a river of blood dripping out of where the claws are holding onto her, but then the sentimental part was like "aww, no, they wouldn't pierce her skin."

Cool! There's something sort of... I dunno... Sandro Botticelli-ish about this.
