That is the story of my life. e____e It's like the moment I set my drawing tool down, the very first mark I make somehow erases the fantastic image in my mind. It certainly is a depressing feeling to know that my talent falls short of my intricate imagination.
This is why I have heard that some artists look away or close their eyes from their work while they sketch things - to preserve the beauty of the mind's eye. Some people write down everything they remember about the mental image so that they can recall what it was supposed to appear before proceeding. In the end, you must keep drawing and tweaking that piece of art to make it more like how you had envisioned it. Maybe better~
I was watching one of my friend's Youtube videos of AX (since I was unable to attend), and she passed by your stand and picked up one of your business cards. I first noticed the Vesperia fanart and immediately started gushing over it, wondering how many people had cared to do Tales fanart in the convention. Something in my mind told me that I had seen it before... Then the video panned to your Touhou fanart. I froze, knowing that the style was familiar. Instantly, your username popped up in my brain, and I had to look through your gallery to make sure it was you. It is! >w<
Despite not logging into DA in a while, it is nice that I could recognize your art so easily. This must mean that my adoration of your work has left a lovely imprint in my mind. *wiggles like crazy*
Wowwwwwwwwwwww... Those folds. That perspective. It's so enchanting. I've missed so much by rarely logging into DA, then. *keeps admiring* I love how some of the shadows have defined lines from your original lineart while others do not~
