The Seven Swans: Princess Eliza

I’m back with a new Seven Swan Sketch of the main heroine Eliza. I bought the art book of the Disney princess classic fairytales and it’s been a delight to say the least!

Now on to Eliza. She is the fifth child and only daughter of king Fredrick and Queen Laerke, as a princess she has a lot of expectations placed on her by her father on being the perfect princess and lady. While her brothers are training in politics, combat and meetings with councilmen Eliza learns basic etiquette, dance, art, singing and her favourite subject is embroidery and sewing.

But when Eliza was younger she was a tomboy as she was surrounded by four older brothers and two younger ones and used to play football with her brothers until their mother died and her father had her stop and told her she must become a proper lady and princess as many people will be looking at the royal family as an example just like they do him and did their mother. Eliza, while not wanting to, she also wanted to live up to her mothers memory as she saw her as an elegant lady and wanted to be like her and wanted to please her father so she reluctantly stopped, which was the start of her and her brothers drifting apart over the past five years.

She also wears makeup to hide her freckles as they are a part of her insecurities since her mother had glass skin and her father wants her to look like a beautiful princess. While Eliza enjoys being pampered, she feels like she doesn’t contribute anything to her father or kingdom except looking for a husband who can benefit the land and make her father proud as he walks her down the aisle.

Soon things take a dark turn when their father returns from his hunting trip.
