Fantastic Mahj -- utterly fantastic. It seems a little choppy though right before the last few frames of the crystalizing part... Was that intentional or by accident?

It's because of a certain compression method. It takes 20 KB off the filesize, but the first time the animation runs those frames might be a little slower since the browser needs to calculate those frames.

What basically happens is that those frames are not the full picture, but only include the pixels that have been changed since the last frame. For example, when you have an animation of a blinking person with two frames (one with the eyes open and one with the eyes closed) in the second frame you don't need to include the full picture, only the part of the eyes since that's the only thing that changes.

I love how you handled making the name...and the fact that it just dosen't -poof- off the screen wihtout a further thought puts this up as the best animation I have seen in a LONG time.
Certanly THE best I have seen outside the movies.
