It looks incredibly usefull, but I can't really tell what part would be used and for what purpose?

You could use the two balls part rotating on the 'Y' shape for some sort of recursive distance movement, or use the pulsating loop for a clock hand.

Nobody will ever know...

i think this is the coolest gear animation i've ever seen! i really love how that "Y" shaped piece in the center pushes those balls that in turn slide the gear bit by bit. that part really adds to it because the smaller gears are moving the entire time and going faster, while the big ones kinda move in spurts. i could also spend an obscene amount of time staring at it. :D make more like this! :+fav:

I suppose this is older.. though it had no influence on my works because I just recently found it.
It is inspirational.

That really kicks ass, man. There is more complexity there than what one could gather at first sight. The movements are very well coordinated too. Keep up the great work! :)

Uhm. Yeah, wow. This looks great. Graphically, the look of the gears is really good - the highlights and shadows in all the right places, and a good choice of colours. What I really like about this is the smoothness of the animation, there are no bugs in it at all, it really flows perfectly. You seem to have put a lot of thought into this - especially seeing as there aren't only gears, but also some kind of device that goes up and down. :O

Really, great work. This definitely is one of the best animations I have ever seen on dA, and it's going to look nice in my list of favourites.
