The Ideal Story Length
Some months ago I had already put this question on my list for some further analysis. Now I got reminded by my friend @Gentle-Lily that this important topic hasn't been analyzed yet, so this is a good time to return to it:
What would be the ideal length for a bondage story on DeviantArt?
It is hard to tell what is the influence the length might have on popularity. It is said the attention span is shrinking, which even negatively affects book sales. I notice myself how I prefer 'shorter' short stories here, as I find it more difficult to read longer stories in one go. Can we put that into numbers?

So far the word count for the bondage stories on DeviantArt was missing in my metadata collection, so I let a python script gather this important detail. It took many hours, but it was worth it. I arbitrarily eliminated all literary deviations with less than 400 words, as they are most likely not a short story, but something else. Also I ignore their environment. It will

I decided to focus on lineart first. Once I have improved there then I might start experimenting with colors again.
The fuzz monster is sometimes also known as dust bunny. It featured in the web comic "User friendly" as a dust puppy, but unfortunately the web page userfriendly.org does not exist anymore.

Ah, the first boom of the internet. The wild, wild west... Back when few people even knew what a computer was, when bad search engines were still popular, and big platforms were not yet dominant. It has this romantic flair to it. And that classic goofy nerdy touch.
But, bah; I didn't live that era, I was under 18 then.😁
