Upon courtship, one must beckon the other to a duel in which they gently spar without repercussions or injuries. The purpose of such a tradition is to demonstrate to the other their undying loyalty, and ability to remain vigilant yet powerful in tough times. Although there is no point in winning, each partner is expected to fight fiercely with their significant other, without inflicting major damage. The male can only win the duel by grabbing the female’s tail, and the female can only win the duel by pinning the male down.
