Forgot about this one. Saw these cards and had to get them to craft with. I try to upcycle used cards, but I'll admit this is a cheat. Reminded me of Andersen's nightingale and Keats as well.

Tried to use the square wire to mimic the idea of the cage. The bird itself was a bit too much of a shadow, so I tried to outline it with gold paint before sealing it behind the glass.

Might go on [link] at some point, note me if you'd like it up there sooner rather than later ;) $38 + shipping.

It's gorgeous, darling! Elegant and feminine. I love all the tying gold accents from the paper, the wrap and the ribbon.

Gotta love Keats. No, really, I quote more Keats than Lewis Carroll.

And this is a lovely piece. The golden square wire reflecting the gold in the image; the sense of freedom and release. All in such gorgeous colours.

I prefer Keats to Carroll myself, though they're sort of like comparing apples and snowglobes ;)

Funny thing, I don't care for Twain and probably quote him only second to Shakespeare.

My regard for Twain went up when I found out he was apparently great pals with Tesla.

Really?! Oh now that is intriguing...

(I confess I have images of the Sanctuary Tesla and the Hal Holbrook Twain bickering over drinks.)
