:bulletblack: Sorry again for the problem with associating GIF files, I'll work on that as well.
:bulletorange: To those who experience problems and crashes pls remove previous versions and redownload this updated version (1.0.1)
note me if problem is still there. thanks!
:bulletgreen: Fixed all possible issues causing a generic error to stop app from starting.
:bulletgreen: You can now view images from explorer using "Open with..."
:bulletgreen: External programs can now be associated with Imagepad giving you the flexibility to pass the image to your alternative viewer or editor with a few clicks.
:bulletgreen: Profiles are here to offer more customizations and more choices for our users.
:bulletgreen: Lots of other improvements.
:bulletgreen: Some bugs fixed & many more...
:bulletblack: Pardon me for the "delete" bug and "set wallpaper" incompatibility for some OS. I'll work on it on the next version.

:bulletgreen: Windows XP | Vista | 7
:bulletgreen: .NET 3.5 Fw (.NET Fw 2.0 unconfirmed?)
:bulletgreen: x86 | x64

:pencil: note : pls help me test this on your system if you have x64 system with .NET 3.5 Fw installed
and to those with .NET Fw lower than 3.5 (possibly 2.0) installed, please try if Imagepad will run in your system. note me. I am trying to make this app compatible as it can be.

How to

:bulletgreen: Set it as the default viewer manually
  • Right-click on desired image file (.png | .jpg | .bmp | etc.)
  • From the context menu, choose to "Open with..." > "Select program"
  • A dialog box will appear, browse the location of "Imagepad.exe" and check the "Set as default viewer for all file types" box.
:pencil: note : there is an issue associating gif files.

After long hours of coding and debugging I finally made two steps to completing my dream image viewer. :boogie:

Please :+fav: and feel free to comment! :woohoo:

~ Enjoy.

When are you going to release the final version?
Can u make it a little faster on startup and there are no next previous buttons for loading images from a folder?
By the way a nice app man.

I like this app, but will there be a proper installer version soon?

It's very slow to load (5 seconds+) even after the first time, and it seems to not remember preferences, like canvas set to grey (it always appear white on next program start) and ribbon not hidden (always defaults to hidden).

I have to save my preferences somehow or there is somthing I am missing here?

I like this cool interface, but where is next/prev buttons? Back to XNView :(
When multiple images are loaded.
You may hover your mouse cursor below and the navigation buttons will pop-up.
It's designed that way to make it more clean. :D
Hope this helps.

wow. it's tooo clean.
yep. it's designed that way. thank you.

uh... may be is more logical to show next/prew buttons whenever in the same folder as the public image there are other pictures? as in the standard viewer.

how can I open next or previous image in imagepad, the button left arrow and right arrow not work :(

Personally, I opened all the images in the folder with it, then I could go forward and back among them.

Which component do you use for the Office 2010 styled ribbon?

Amazing program! I love it so much! Your program is now my default photo program for all photo types. :) Please make more Windows computer programs~! :)
Thanks! :boogie:
Glad you love it. I'm on to make more, keep updated. :D

Your welcome! :meow:

-Btw I was surprised by how well your program handled gif images. I didn't even think that it would handle them at all! :la:

Brilliant! I love it! I have one question though - would you mind telling me what API you used for the ribbon control? I have been using one for WPF, but would prefer one that doesn't require that i use WPF.
I think i've told you that before, :D
oh well... it's called dotnetbar, it can be use in either wpf or not. ;P

I've another bug ^^; (on Windows 7 Ultimate x64)

When I click the Home button, the window size increases. If I do it several times, the window is huge and can't fit in the screen. This bug doesn't appear when the window is maximized.

For the Aero Glass problem, I've a suggestion: the 2 DLL I can see with your app, are they 64-bit compatible? If not, ImagePad will have problem with Windows x64.
Yeah~ that size increasing bug is really strange. :D
I'm making plans for it on the next release.

The component is 64-bit capable, no problem with that. I'll try to create an update to fix 64-bit aero problems. Stay tuned. ;P
