Riffing on Womb (2010) as a Matt Smith fanSo, after a friend’s suggestion, and being a Matt Smith fan, I decided to watch “Womb” (or “Clone” in the USA). Halfway through, I realized that my reactions and comments were getting interesting, so I decided to write them down. And ramble a bit.
It helps if you’ve seen the film too, obviously. In any case, there’s a summary, courtesy of Wikipedia, in the description, which you may want to read. Beware, if you care, for it spoils the entire film. In short, to quote IMDB, “A woman's consuming love forces her to bear the clone of her dead beloved. From his infancy to manhood, she faces the unavoidable complexities of her controversial decision.”
First of all, I want to clarify two things.
One: I liked this movie. I can still do rifftrax and analyse it to hell and back. I always do it. In fact, my friends and I are your worst nightmare in the movie theatre, because we act like we are in the bloody Satellite of Love, no matter how good
