SALs and other stuff

Hiya all,

I thought I'd write a journal about my SALs and other stuff that I'm up to over on my blog - just in case you'd missed it as I'm a lot more active over there than I am here. It's going to be a busy year with a LOT of freebies!

First of all is the Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL that I've written a journal about before: Weavers Tapestry Band Sampler SAL.  The patterns are given every Wednesday. It's off to a good start with quite a few people join in in - the Facebook group I made is over 450 people strong! It's amazing!

I hosted a NYE Mystery SAL over the new year's weekend - I'm not sure how many people stitched it in the end as of course not everyone posts about it, or if they do they sometimes forget to include the SAL tags or mention my name but the ones I saw were fantastic! It was such a hit that I changed the Facebook group name from NYE Mystery SAL to Magical Mystery SAL as I'll be doing a few more high speed weekend Mystery SALs this year as well as another one for NYE! This group grew to be over 150 strong before the SAL was finished and new people are joining every week.

I have brought the Ornament a Month SAL back! I did the first one in 2015 and thought it was high time I did another one. This year I decided to go with rainbow/colour wheel as the theme and the shape of this year is a 3-D pyramid or 2-D triangle - which you do is up to you! I have also brought the Fob a Month back! It got slightly sidelined after I started it due to lack of time to stitch the patterns first, but since then I'm more confident of my designing skills I'm comfortable to post the patterns without stitching them unless I want to. The Fob a Month patterns will be posted every second Friday of the month. The first one was inspired by snowdrops poking through the snow so is very subtle in colour but fun to stitch! There are of course more than two Friday's a month but at the moment I don't have a SAL planned for them - however I do post a freebie EVERY Friday so it's worth taking a look to see what I've come up with every week.

In between all that I also do occasional other posts - some with freebies, some without usually about my crafting stuff but sometimes other things.
