Project Educate is one of the more successful projects out there and also the reason you are reading this journal so we could not overlook the group when we decided to interview people about the projects they had started or were involved with. Kaz-D and KovoWolf kindly agreed to answer my questions
Could you please introduce yourself and project educate to us?
I'm Kaz-D and I'm one of the team leads for projecteducate - The group is run primarily by community volunteers and other members of the dA community to educate people on various different art topics.
Hello! My name is Amber, or more commonly known as KovoWolf here on DeviantART! The goal of projecteducate is to bring artistic awareness of different art media and mediums to our followers as well as introduce a wide variety of culture! Every week there are projects that introduce new articles with information, tips, and tricks about different galleries spread out across DeviantART as a whole. Each month we have a community week as well! This is built in to our schedule so everyone can have a chance to submit an article!
What inspired you to start project educate?
I can't answer this as it was already begun when I joinedBut I would hazard a guess that it was inspired by the need for a hub on deviantART, full of educational materials.

Before starting project educate did you ask anyone for advice or input?
There's always room for improvement and for growth. We feed off one another and take in the feedback, criticism, and as well advice! - KovoWolf
How much did other projects on dA influence you when you started project educate?
Influence and inspiration comes from all corners of DeviantART. The community itself is our biggest inspiration! We want to strive to bring great articles and helpful tips/tricks to the community!- KovoWolf
Did creating a group help the progress of project educate?
projecteducate was just a normal dA account a while ago and making it into a group ensured that many more people could contribute and participate, and that we had many more functions. - Kaz-D
What have you learned during project educate?
Lots! I've learned what the community does (and doesn't) want to see
Patience. Educating. Passion. It's been an amazing experience thus far to help our my fellow deviants and providing helpful articles!- KovoWolf
Have you run into any stumbling blocks?
We've never had any trouble with participation, whether it's CV led weeks, or Community run weeks - participation has been great. But it's getting the articles out there that can often be a struggle. - Kaz-D

If you were to start project educate all over, is there anything you would you do differently?
I think it's fantastic as is! - KovoWolf
What advice would you give someone considering starting their own project?
Plan it carefully and find out what your audience wants - there's no use creating a project that nobody has an interest in. Promotion is key! - Kaz-D
