Description

November is my favourite month of the year, the stronger winds and all the falling leaves are things I love, though admittedly I hate clearing leaves hehe.

I stitched my version using colour variation threads stitched in different directions to give it more variation in the patterning of the end result. I also added an extra border just to fill the frame I used a little better and added a bunch of leaf buttons, both stitched onto the fabric and loose in the box frame.

Size: just under 2 3/4" square - 3 3/4" with extra border.
Fabric: 18ct off white Aida
Threads: DMC colour variations 4000, 4073, 4124, 4128, 4205
Buttons: Dress it up - fall collection: tiny raking leaves

I really, really hate taking photo's of framed pieces, which is why I usually photograph things before framing - I wanted to photograph it indoors on my wall but I had too many issues with reflections and it being either too light or too dark depending on what time of day I tried, my usual spot on the fence was a no go too, the ever helpful apple tree isn't strong enough and so I was left with the patio outside, still not perfect but still.. I wasn't going to take it out of the frame.

Magical525 and   Mattsma have come up with a way for you to use that neglected floss you have laying around.  For some of you, it probably bothers you just a tiny bit that you have these flosses that never get used or there is just a tiny bit left of some specialty floss that you may never use again in a pattern so here is the best way to ensure you use every  one of them at least once, or finish them off entirely!  Gifted floss, those bobbins that sit quietly in your floss boxes, bags, or drawer never getting used or are forgotten…oh yes, we have something fun for
