Description
This is the first pattern for the Neglected Threads project over on stitchingpirates It's going up a bit later in the day than planned as I'm ill and Mattsma won't be able to add it to her journal for a few more hours.
To make this choose your fabric/paper/plastic and make sure it's big enough for 43 stitches across + about 2 inches if it's fabric to put in the hoop and for finishing
You will need 2 or 3 different colours of thread + tiny beads (or just make tiny knots in the thread) for the eyes
If you want you can make this frame any size you like, just add as many fish sections as you like till it's the size that makes you happy.
There are many ways of finishing this as a frame!
You could stitch a small image into the centre
You could choose to stitch on perforated paper (or plastic and finish like this: how-make-stitched-picture-frame
You could stitch on aida or even weave and finish it like this: Phunky Photo frame
You could take the stitched frame and use it as a matte for a photo, or just stick the photo to the fabric/paper and put it in a photo frame.
