This painting was one of two of my senior thesis pieces. It made it into both of my senior shows, and it’s a whopping 5 by 6 feet large!
This piece came directly from the previous ink drawings - they were exactly what I needed to find some mental clarity in myself and figure out a big feeling I wanted to explore. I’ve been telling people that this piece is a lot about equanimity - rolling with the punches, a feeling of acceptance. And I’m more than sure that the year full of coping art, medication, therapy, and writing have all led me to that point. :^)
