This painting was one of two of my senior thesis pieces. It made it into both of my senior shows, and it’s a whopping 4.5 by 6 feet large!
This piece came directly from the previous ink drawings - they were exactly what I needed to find some mental clarity in myself and figure out a big feeling I wanted to explore. I’ve heard a ton of different interpretations of this piece, but I’ll just tell you - it’s about anxiety and turbulence. Which I know is a big contrast from my last piece (equanimity), but I think it’s a hugely positive step for me to be able to recognize and come to terms with my experiences, and to put that out into the world.
