Weihnachtsbaum in Infrarot

In one sense older work, made in 1971 using a Baby Crown Graflex 2.25x3.25 shooting sheet film B&W infrared. I keep telling myself I need to do more infrared work. Anyway, this tree belonged to a friends family, friend met during my first go-round in college. They kept this tree in a large planter pot on their back deck, and this being Michigan in the US, the tree then of course lost its leaves in the Autumn and went to sleep for the winter. A couple weeks before Christmas, they turned off the steam radiators in the living room of their delightful Victorian house, and closed the doors to the dining room and entry hall. After a couple days to let the room chill a bit, they brought in the tree and decorated it with cut crystal chandelier 'icicles' and crystal snowflakes, plus what were then very new 'peanut' bulb lights.

The Baby Crown came with a handful of sheets of Kodak B&W Infrared, and I exposed them all one evening to do this tree. I don't recall if I used a red filter over the lens (something I ran across later when refreshing my memory about shooting infrared film). Did use a tripod and time exposure.
