Wowza - has it been a long time since I've visited dA. One cross-country move and a new job later, I'm throwing myself full force back into painting. It's hard to believe that I created this profile more than 13 years ago. Now, I'm nearly 29. It's amazing to dive back into old scraps to gauge how much progress I've made over the past decade, and I'm equally tempted to shake my fist at my younger self who was too comfortable with routine and being unchallenged to push herself even further along. Oh well, so time marches onward. I'm still more active on Instagram at this point along with my own site, but I'm so thrilled to see a lot of my favorite artists still creating here. It'll be wonderful to rediscover your work.

I don't talk much about my personal life on deviantART, but one of the large reasons that I'm less active here is because I work with an arts nonprofit in my home city where I'm largely responsible for development and some programming tasks, but I've also become very active in my local arts community as an artist and policy wonk. Outside of work, I'm helping plan an arts exhibition on climate change action and supporting two community organizations near to my heart in their events. It's also been a great time for my work as
It's hard to believe that I joined this community almost ten years ago when I was still in my sophomore year of high school, and it's still pretty awe-inspiring to open up the totality of my gallery and look back on how I've grown as an artist along with how the work of those that I watch and admire has evolved. I'm not leaving dA by any means, but I've become more active on Tumblr as inkandgrease and Instagram as inkgreasepaint , and I welcome you to follow me on both platforms as I share progress shots of upcoming pieces more regularly than I do here.
