Well this has been a fun filled afternoon!. I have watched all your animations from the beginning after you sent me a llama.

It is apparent to me that you have traveled down many varied roads. Worked with many people, used many diffy mediums, spent hours of your time.

I was just messaging Cinetress quite recently of my concern that animation seemed to be drying up in DA. In fact in DA's Community Relations their "Project Education" group Art & Animation folder had no deviations since 2014 until Cinetress just wrote an article for it that covered the early efforts of animation artists at the turn of the century which was quite interesting. An Admin commented on my concern; saying that they just don't get that many deviations for Film, and I thought that was quite sad.

And then outta the blue a few days later I stumbled upon your work after you sent me a llama. It gives me renewed faith to see an animator in here hard at work! Congrats on all your DDs.

Other than your animations, your interview with VoyageDallas, "Meet Madeleine Mathis" dated June 27, 2018 is was struck me the most like a lightning bolt:
Interviewer>> "Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?"

Madeleine>> "From the very beginning I've been crazy about two things: animals and making stuff...So, I attended the California Institute of Arts, founded by the king of animals himself, Walt Disney."

I never went to Film School, but that bell resounded true for me, as I am a southern California transplant and Hollywood was only an hour from me, and Disneyland was only eight miles from where I went to high school. Walt Disney will ALWAYS be one of my most cherished animation mentors forever.

...It wasn't until a representative from LAIKA denied me an internship on the grounds that "There are no humans in any of your work." Which was true.

Wow, that statement hit me hard. Because you see I'm using software to create realistic 3D animation of animal characters for the internet that will NOT include any Humans as well! There aren't that many animators these days who can say that, we are kinda a rare species! We actually have several things in common, as I see on your profile. My only dismay is that I didn't have a chance to meet you while you lived in the Lone Star State. It is my loss I guess.

I am proud to watch your work and look forward to your next project. Thank you for the llama and I have given you one in return.
