The little things...
After losing power for 6 days here in Jersey from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, I was forced to do things differently around the house; using candles, setting up LED flashlights, getting used to no tv or internet, and taking cold showers.   I had to make do and wait patiently for the power to be restored and had a chance to slow things down.  Gas lines were long (1/2 mile long??), there's no refrigeration (so either I cook all the food or toss it out) and I slept way earlier (it's boring to sit in the dark all night).  After last night, I was getting stir crazy and was trying to figure out what my next step was...    I had so many people

Childlike wonder
One of the best part of checking out other people's work is that you get a front row seat to see someone's creativity in action.  I'm no artist but I do enjoy looking through artwork/photos and try to understand what the artist was trying to convey.  I am just amazed by how someone can take a piece of art/photo/design and put their own personal touch and that only represents a tiny of their persona.  Especially when you see collections of their work you will get a better understanding of how they look at the world from their eyes.  Sometimes it's easy and sometimes its not but I hope that I never get jaded and forget that everyone is in a dif
