I decided to delete ALL of my posts and refuse to post here ever again. The only reason why I'm not deleting this account is for the artists that I subbed to.

That means:
No more poems.
No more photos.
And sure as shit no more For Alex Mercer Lovers chapters.

Every single time that I asked for people to give me feedback I got jack-shit! I wasn't flattered AT ALL when I saw people favoriting then running. And the only time I did get feedback for my writing I was bombarded with comments that just said "MOAR!"- which is just rude and greedy.

That's all I have to say for this matter. Goodbye.

P.S.- For anyone wondering if I'll repost anything to a new site. NO.

Yeah I get your vibe here. Out of like 1500, I've had probably 20 people comment on my "most viewed" literature work... over a long time. And some deviations with 40+ comments just mean I've started a conversation with somebody. ^^;

People just seem to think it doesn't matter, even if they leave a small comment, like ":heart:" or just a few simple words. I also get the "write a sequel for this and that", when I don't do sequels for pieces I have finished. A lot of the times the people that say this may not be writers themselves and don't always understand the hard work.

...or they just don't care to understand.

And my photography hardly gets feedback in a light year too, just like it sounds yours did. It sucks, but what can I say. A lot of people don't bother to type and I don't see why. Don't need to write a 1000 words, just, 2, 4, 7...

I hope you don't stop writing in its entity for this and still enjoy it as a hobby.

Thanks you for giving me such kind words- it's so hard for people to understand that "any praise is good praise" just doesn't work for me.
I do plan on writing more- in fact I have several stories that I would like to work on in the near future. I just won't be posting them on this site. :)

:nod: No, it doesn't work for everyone indeed. In general I think people leave much less comments than they should. Although, our society should be navigating to a certain kind of "comfort" toward talking to complete strangers...

That's good to hear. Never let anyone discourage you from your hobbies!! Usui-Fight (Takumi Usui)

If you want to write, then write, but don't expect anything in return. I wrote the longest completed English-language fanfiction novel for American McGee's Alice at fanfiction dot net and have had perhaps 100 people on the entire planet read it to the end. Almost all of the comments ironically came from the Lilith the moderator at americanmcgee dot com forums. It isn't really that you did anything wrong or were a bad writer. Social media such as Facebook and Twitter seems to be squashing everything else. DeviantArt is a single-purpose website which has apparently become a dinosaur model. If you want feedback, you would have better luck at Facebook. I refuse to touch Facebook with a barge pole because of its reputation for tracking you across the entire internet.
