Johnny Borrell Razorlight

This is another of my portraits in watercolour. This time it's of Johnny Borrell - the lead singer in Razorlight.

I think he has the most beautiful face - almost like a Caravaggio

Thank you, he had such a gorgeous face
This is amazing! Your other paintings are amazing as well. I was just wondering, what was the picture of him you looked at when you did this painting? I would be very grateful, thank you. P.S you're very very talented :)

Thank you for your nice comments.  I used a pic of the band in a magazine.  I was going to do all of them, but liked the one portrait so much that I stopped there.  I had a quick google image search, but can't see the original pic.  I think it was in teh Radio Times if that helps?

I can only say ditto. :) Wish I was nearer Edinburgh (could not be further away in Poole) to see your paintings close up. How big do you work and what kind of paper do you use?

My grandparents were from Edinburgh and we visited a few years back (before babies). It's an amazing and beautiful place - a fabulous centre of culture and clearly inspiring for many creative people.
I'm currently working on Lady Gaga (a great face)and that's half imperial, quite like that scale.
Weather is suddenly warmer today - it's been bitterly cold - so fingers crossed for warmer days, gin and tonics and happy painting xxx

Nicely done! Very good control, and with watercolour that's not easy.
