Description
Portrait of David Bowie in watercolour. Took a while to get the background right, but in the end the dark worked better. It's several layers of transparent colour. I started this as a watercolour demo and then finished it at home. Total time taken would be around 4 hours. I used several photographs to get the look right, but the main image is one I can't credit - please let me know if you do have the photographer's name, as I would like to credit them.
I'm pleased with this painting - I adore David Bowie and I wanted to capture something more than just his physicality. I hope he looks into your soul and shares his.
