Description

My entry for Twoxt's Anime Competition 2012 at VGBoxArt: "Crayon Shin-Chan: Arashi o Yobu Enji" (Which translated to something around the lines of "Crayon Shin-chan: The Kids that Called Storms"), based on the popular Manga and Anime series Crayon Shin-chan.

Almost everything in here mas custom, made from scratch, maybe apart from the template, which was made by Jigsaw at the Cover Project ( [link] ); part of the legal info on the back, which was taken from the official box; the screenshots, that I got from MobyGames ( [link] ); the little purple flower, which was from a site called FlowerClipArt ( [link] ); and the BANDAI logo and the Official Nintendo Seal, that were obtained at Wikipedia.

I already had had a good experience with Japanese boxes with my last Banjo-Kazooie box, and was eager to try Japanese again when I found the Anime Competition thread and saw on it the perfect opportunity. I personally love the way Japanese text seems to fill so much even when it's not so much actually, and I'm glad that it's reflected in this box.

I'd like to thank :iconpoppinsdebo: and :icontrevordeal: , members of this site, as well as Luis, Xabier, Omar and Andrés, friends of mine, for their critics. Thanks again to TrevOwnz for mentoring me these last months in the whole Graphic Design thing.

ahh shucks. I appreciate the kind words. Sorry I wasn't much help on this particular box. Wasn't familiar with the game/character. You have a lot of promise and the fact that you are willing to jump into illustrator shows you are more than just a boxart designer but a graphic designer. Photoshop is good but only 1 of many tools in the field. Finish up that Ivysaur =]
