I absolutely cannot stand DA Eclipse, if it takes me a while to get back to you I apologize. I can't reply to anyone's comments/chat/notes on my tablet/phone so now I have to access a computer just so I can respond to peeps which is ridiculous. But I can respond to peeps on the old group format? It really makes no sense and is infuriating.

2021 Pageant Updates

Hello Everyone and welcome back for another season of our IP-Pageant! I’m sure some of you have some various questions so hopefully the information below will answer them! For those of you that want a straightforward answer, we’ll be accepting applications for Judges and Contestants starting tomorrow! So keep an eye out for those journals, they’ll be up before the end of the day. We‘ll be taking applications during the duration of June and will be starting the festivities in July until October! Yes it’s only for 4 months, there’s various reasons for this but I want to keep this announcement short for people. Now, in order to host the season this year, we need at least 2 more judges and 10 contestants. I hope to see you all there!
Personal Update
Some of you may have been wondering what exactly has been going on and where we’ve been. Well to be quite frank there’s been various reasons. But first things first, our very own co-admin, Squidtonic, has decided to step down and leave Deviantart, for the most part at least, they are no longer active on their listed account. I’ve personally not been active on my account since 2017 and almost left Deviantart as well this year, I certainly wanted to, especially after the launch of Eclipse. Eclipse is not mobile friendly and as some of you know I don’t own a computer, I only work on the tablet, which means with the way the website is currently I’m unable to preform many admin duties. Not to mention it’s very buggy still with journals and whatnot, it’s very...aggravating to say the least. I simply find myself never logging in because I don’t want to deal with the aggravation that comes with the site.
Many people have left Deviantart and the fandom in general, which comes with time. I’m not actively in the fandom myself anymore but I still have such a love for it that I’ve decided to stick around. This was a bit of a last minute decision on my part and while there’s not many people left in the fandom, I still want it to be an enjoyable time, like my time was when I first entered the fandom over a decade ago. So please bare with me while I get accustomed with this website again, considering Squid was the one who’s been taking care of the groups for the last few years, I’m not sure how a lot of things work here lol.
So why the late start?
Well as I said above, I wasn’t so keen on staying on DA, so it was a bit of a last minute decision to stay. That and a few months ago Squid’s old laptop died, which they would let me use in order to do certain things on the internet considering a lot of things are still not mobile friendly. We ordered a new one but was waiting in the queue for almost 3 months, this was due to many part shortages, it would have been longer but the company reached out to us to see if we would be willing to change cases. Which we agreed instantly, if not we would have continued to be in the queue for several more weeks. We received the computer on Saturday so now I will be able to perform admin duties properly.
Why only 4 months?
Well, there’s a few reasons for this. A big part is because of the late start of the Pageant this year, another is because once November hits many of us will not have any time due to the winter holidays depending on where you live. Not to mention I’m hoping to host Irkpreciation‘s Secret Santa this year which will start taking people in October and will run though November and part of December. Of course I’ve also noticed many people seem to drop out before we can even hit month 5 or even 6. People are simply just busy.
I don’t have time to enter!
Hey that’s ok, not everyone has time, especially in this day in age. We have a new event that will be popping off at Irkpreciation this summer for those that can’t compete long term! So keep you eyes peeled! Or feel free to draw your character along with the monthly themes, you may not be able to submit them into this group but you can certainly submit them to Irkpreciation!
What’s going with Irkpreciation?
I know, it’s quite a mess right? The group will be receiving an update and revision this summer, around the same time as the IP-Pageant season launch. We’ll be hosting some stuff over there so keep your eyes peeled!
What are the prizes?
Currently I don’t have anything set in stone, I’m more then willing to do another cash prize, depending on the amount of entrants. Although to be honest I’m kind of against these kinds of things. Like I feel like yes people should be rewarded, but at the same time it makes it more competitive and that turns some people off. We have various age and skill gaps here in this fandom and it almost feels unfair to have these members compete against one another. If anyone has a genuine answer to this I would love to hear it! Simply I just want this Pageant to be fun for all people, no matter their ages or levels.

Recently I’ve had a really weird influx of watchers...it’s really funny considering this account is on permanent hiatus (basically dead) and says so on the front of the profile. I no longer post my art here but I do stop by biweekly for groups.
For those curious yes I still draw constantly and adore my characters, I just don’t feel the urge to upload them here or any social media (except TH), well that and I rebranded myself over a year ago so I no longer go by Ma-Junior on any platform.

August 2020 - Adventure Awaits

Lovell: “Welcome back viewers for another riveting round of the one and only IP-Pageant! Last month our dearest contestants wowed us with the most delightful of designs and with a sweet range of colors to boot! But I know all of you must be just dying to see what they’ll whip up this month for us!”
Haunt: [soft chuckling] "Whip up... heh heh- Ahem, yes that's right. It was an absolute treat, to see what everyone created. But now that everyone has indulged their sweet tooth perhaps it's time to announce the next theme?”
Lovell: [trying not to laugh] “Of course! Now our next theme is quite the magical one and I’m sure it will leave all of our lovely viewers fantasizing over our contestants designs! The theme for this month is, Adventure Awaits!! I wonder what sort of legendary outfits we’ll see this round!”
Haunt: "Ah such a good theme!" [turns to Lovell] "Does that mean we get to go on an Adventure as well? Now, are we talking about mercenary adventures or more like, fantasy-- ohhh, like medieval knights and damsels in distress, Lovell?"
Lovell: “Not quite an Adventure, but instead think of us as the heroic quest givers of this grand tale my friend!” [claps his hands together] “With this quest we’re talking about both actually! The key for this round is Fantasy, so yes it’s quite like adventurous mercenaries, medieval knights, or yes even spellcasting magicians. It’s all rather quite exciting to imagine isn’t it?”
Haunt: [antenna twitches] "That is exciting! I'm looking forward to all the fantastical outfits! I'm hoping it will be a...magical experience for all of us! All of this talk reminds me of some jokes I've heard" [pulls out some notecards] "Here's some fantasy jokes that will take you on an adventure too!" [clears his throat, rustles his wings] "What do sea monsters eat for dinner? Fish and ships!" [laughs at his own joke] "oh oh, ok D&D related- paladins don't succeed because they're believed in, THEY DO IT OUT OF SMITE!-- wait wait no, Lovell I'm not done-"
Lovell: “Haunt, no!” [laughs while he pushes Haunt off stage] “Well viewers that’s all the time we have today! Thank you for tuning in for this absolutely enchanting announcement and keep your eyes peeled for our contestants' future extraordinary designs! Adventure awaits our dear artistic heroes!”
Haunt: [muffled by Lovell] “We'll be a-waiting!”

Theme: For this month's theme we're wanting you to design an outfit inspired by Fantasy Adventure! Examples of this theme would include Dungeons & Dragons, Lord of the Rings, Dragon Age, and World of Warcraft! Make sure to be adventurous and add your own creative twist to your design!
What's required: Your entry must be a full body drawing that clearly shows off your designed outfit. A background is required, no transparent pieces. Backgrounds can be a simple color, gradient, or fully illustrated.
Please submit your finished entries in the ‘August - Adventure Awaits’ folder!
The deadline is August 31st @ 11:59PM EST!

F.A.Q.
Can we collab on our entry? No, all artwork must be by you and only you.
Can we add other characters to our entry? Yes, background characters are perfectly fine! But they shouldn't distract from your character. If you're using a character that doesn't belong to you, make sure you get permission to use them.
I won't be able to finish my entry before the deadline, can I get an extension? Yes, but you must note the group before the deadline! We'll only allow a ‘48 hours’ extension after the deadline, so if you're still unable to get it in then you'll be given a 0 for the month.
Something came up so I won't be able to participate this month, what should I do? First please note the group before the deadline to let us know. In the event you can't participate for the month, we'll give you a "free month" and you'll receive a half score. This is only available for 1 month per person per pageant! If you end up not being able to participate again after already using your free month, you'll receive a 0 as your score for the second month (or more) you miss.
