She had been so caught up in saving the world from that she had ignored the obvious signs. Checking out a tip about an impending crime at a local diner, Gossamer flies to the scene on her winged abada.

However...the cashier came from behind the counter, grabbed her and chloroformed her. The patrons joined in, pinning her down on the counter while a woman, revealing a "Supers Sucks" shirt, stripped away her costume and smeared her now naked physique with paralyzing oil.
