Welcome at the first phase of the French Tour 2016.
This big event will take place over the whole year, in different places in France. It's time to discover this country on the back of your horse !
The main discipline of the French Tour is show jumping at different levels, but other English disciplines will be randomly added.
This event is more or less based on real international competitions, so the places with all the arenas are real and not mine.
To created a link between the five places of this event, each competitor wins points for the next competition.
Principal sponsors are Harpg-ANSF, SunshineEliteHorses and the H-I-E-F . If a group wish to be a sponsor for this event, please leave me a note.
General Rules:
- Judging will be 100% based on effort: creativity, details, respect of the location and the informations of the classes.... (story don't count except if it's a big story)
- Like I'm the judge, my horses can enter but can't be placed.
- Fantasy horses are allowed but no powers can be used.
- No re-used old show entries.
- Photo backgrounds are not allowed. You can use textures like wood, grass or sand but keep in mind that judging is based on effort ! But honestly I prefer to see a nice and manipulate background with some textures than an ugly flat coloring background.
- You can enter as many horses/ponies as you want, but one horse/pony can only enter in one class ! Not Derby + Jumping for one horse !
- You can draw extra-images about what you want ! A Vet-check, a stroll in the surrounding landscapes (see in "location"), during warming, after the course..... Maybe it's an opportunity to create a story
These pictures (2 max.) counts into the effort for judging. And like each competitor wins points for the next competition, you can draw your horse/pony after the competition with its prizes
This drawings will count for the next competition as an extra-image.
- Your country flag must be in the saddle pad of your horse.
- Pre-registration isn't needed.
Location & Weather:
For the first step of this French Tour, the event take place at "La Baule", near to the Atlantic Ocean in France. All the classes are "outdoor", so all the competitors will be in this arena. (Find more here, the lodge on the left, the covered bleachers, an other view but the covered bleachers wasn't builds).
There will be wind all the day (around 10-12 km/h). The morning will be sunny (max. 12°C), and a cloudy afternoon with a lightly rain sometime (max. 14°C).
The Beach and the Guérande salterns are close to the arena, so you can use these landscapes for your extra-images.
